There are very few hats that Chris Andrew doesn’t wear. As one of Canada’s finest pianists, Chris rings ingenuity, highly acclaimed technical abilities and passionate performances to the musical table, making it a table other musicians want to join.
In fact the very talented Andrew has graced the stage with Josh Redman, Paquito D’Rivera, Thomas Chapin, Kirk MacDonald, Sunny Fortune, Joe LaBarbera, PJ Perry, Brad Tumer and Kent Sangster.
He is also a member of the award-winning contemporary jazz ensemble the Hutchinson Andrew Trio, latin jazz sensation Bombal, urban acoustic group Sillan & Young and Obsessions Octet. Chris joined the Octet in the Summer of 2012, just before their debut concert in Carnegie Hall, NYC in October 6, 2012. Summer 2013 saw Chris earn the TD Grand Jazz Award at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. He was also awarded the Galaxie Rising Star Award at Canada’s 2008 National Jazz Awards.
